Elastigroup’s support for Route53 allows you to leverage Route53 as a load balancer for EC2 resource provisioned by Elastigroup and lets you define multiple recordset domain names (FQDN) for each Elastigroup. EC2 instances will be registered and deregistered to and from all domains configured for instance launch and termination respectively.
DNS is often a global function, therefore you can use Route53 to manage DNS settings for multiple AWS accounts. You can now manage your Route53/Elastigroup integration from the Organization level – this means that you’re not limited to the AWS account connected to a single Elastigroup. You can register instances to DNS records in any AWS account that’s connected to your Spotinst Organization.
