Announcing Nomad Autohealing for Elastigroup

Today we announce Nomad auto-healing for Elastigroup, which helps ensure that  your Nomad clients are healthy and ready to serve your jobs and application’s needs.

Previously, you could configure auto healing for your Elastigroup cluster by choosing from Spotinst’s variety of health check options such as EC2, Load Balancer, and Http/s endpoint checks. However, these are not ideal for containerized application clusters, since an instance might pass all the above health checks, but still be deemed unhealthy.

With the new Nomad auto-healing feature, Elastigroup monitors the nodes’ status periodically. When the system detects a node with a Down state, it considers the instance Unhealthy, and triggers an instance replacement to maximize your cluster’s efficiency and performance.
