Spotinst expands its collaboration with Amazon Web Services to help customers with Infrastructure Automation

SAN FRANCISCO — FEBRUARY 21, 2019 — Spotinst, (https://spot.io/) a leading Infrastructure Automation Platform, continues to build on its relationship with Amazon Web Services (AWS) by joining the exclusive AWS Partner Network (APN) Global Startups program.

Every year, AWS selects a small number of APN Partners around the world that have proven they can provide significant added value to its clients in specific areas, such as compute, networking, or next-generation applications such as containers and serverless.

Spotinst was selected also because of the automation and added value Spotinst products provide on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2). This is a significant milestone for Spotinst as it continues to work with AWS to offer solutions that can benefit their customers. This customer-centric approach will allow Spotinst to leverage AWS to provide even faster service to customers and easier access to different pricing models through efficient orchestration of Amazon EC2 Instances.

“Spotinst provides additional options for our customers to combine AWS features and pricing choices, for a variety of customer workloads,” says Joshua Burgin, General Manager, Compute Services, Amazon Web Services, Inc. “We’ve been able to experience how Spotinst automates cost optimization, improves DevOps, and allows for a variety of seamless integrations across multiple AWS and third-party services.“

Spotinst has previously reached AWS Container Competency status as one of the launch APN Partners, and now Spotinst’s software is becoming available on AWS Marketplace. Spotinst runs a significant amount of containers workloads on AWS on behalf of its customers and is well known for its reliable orchestration of Amazon EC2 Spot Instances.

Spotinst’s flagship products, Elastigroup and Ocean, are designed to leverage AWS core services such as Amazon EC2, Amazon Elastic Container Service for Kubernetes (Amazon EKS), and Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) to reduce operational overhead and infrastructure costs through automation and the intelligent use of Amazon EC2 Spot Instances.

Customers with advanced environments such as Ticketmaster use AWS and Spotinst to create an agile, easily managed, and cost-effective infrastructure. By using Spotinst to run Kubernetes clusters on Amazon EC2 Spot Instances, Ticketmaster was able to accelerate their AWS adoption while keeping costs down. “After evaluating the product we understood that Elastigroup was the nirvana we were looking for in managing our complex Amazon EC2 Kubernetes environments,” said Shane Savoie, Chief Architect at Ticketmaster.

“We are incredibly proud to expand our collaboration with AWS,” said Spotinst Founder & CEO Amiram Shachar. “We’re excited about the future opportunities in leveraging AWS to help customers with automation of containers and serverless.”
